Kurt’s Main St. Café, An American Bistro


With the arrival of Spring comes a new dinner menu at Kurt’s Main Street Cafe. Always wanting to keep the menu selections “fresh and seasonal”, Kurt Jacobsen changes his fare regularly. This time, it’s a lighter and eclectic mix of bold and lively flavors. The Scallops prepared three different ways and served as one dish, a Riesling-poached chicken breast atop a cold bistro-style salad, and a Filet Mignon with Lobster Tempura topped with a red wine demi-glaze and saffron butter-sauce are sure to become popular favorites.


On the appetizer menu, the addition of a Scallop Tempura Roll showcases Kurt’s talents with seafood. The creative Bonito/Nori-crusted asparagus with a mustard dipping sauce is also a newcomer to the appetizer menu.


According to Kurt, it’s all about the passion and love of cooking that makes this restaurant the latest & greatest thing to hit Sedona since sliced bread. Kurt’s 30 years of culinary experience come through in his exceptional sauces, food & wine pairings and well-balanced dishes.


The dinner menu will still have many of the dishes the “regular” customers have come to love, such as the Cold-Smoked New York Steak (cold-smoked on-site, then charbroiled and served with a Serrano demi-glaze, caramelized onions and garlic mashed potatoes). The Calf’s Liver and Onions (served with a port wine demi-glaze with gorgonzola cheese and pancetta bacon alongside garlic mashed potatoes) will definitely stay on the menu, as it remains a tried-and-true favorite.


The outdoor patio will soon be open at Kurt’s. Complimented by colorful wine-motif umbrellas, new chairs and travertine-top tables, the patio will take full advantage of our wonderful weather. A water fountain will add to the al fresco dining experience.


Another new, fun and exciting happening at Kurt’s in the coming weeks will be the addition of a Bar menu. The wine selection keeps growing and expanding with additions from Napa Valley such as Crauford, Murphy Goode and Flora Springs. A full liquor selection and top-shelf Tequilas make for a great local gathering spot.


And don’t forget dessert, as there’s nothing frivolous about the selections! Kurt’s “from scratch” chocolate cake with chocolate mouse filling and ganache frosting is out of this world! For something a bit lighter, he offers a locally made sorbet in harmonious combinations such as Lemon-Thyme, Cranberry-Basil, Rosemary and Grapefruit-Tarragon.

Kurt’s Main St. Café is now also open for lunch and dinner on Mondays. Come see what the new Spring menu has to offer you.
